Looking for a way to support your local communities?
We help our participants on their
self-esteem journey, sharing why we all need to develop
our confidence, and acknowledging that life isn’t always
as perfect as we’d like it to be.
Many businesses are proud to be able to give something back to their local community. If you are looking to support your neighbourhood, your business can sponsor a Blossom Community Course. Your sponsorship will give the local community access to a course that helps those from vulnerable environments and with social challenges.
Our course confronts misconceptions and aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to avoid becoming the victim. With your help, we will work with local councils to create courses that suit their needs and provide a safe space for participants who feel they have nowhere to turn, to share fears, learn new skills and build friendships.
Our immersive, full day course is a 50/50 split of theory and physical skills, and we guarantee that at the end of it you will understand the world in which we live more clearly, and understand how these challenges may affect your employees in different ways. We also find that nearly every participant appreciates the safe environment we provide, and takes the opportunity to share some of their journey, so that we can all learn from each other. Is it fun? Absolutely Is it serious? Sometimes Is it physical? Only as much as you want Is it empowering? We guarantee it
• Help vulnerable people improve their self-confidence and learn how to avoid/deal with potential conflict
• Tailored courses matched to participants’ needs and integrating into current programmes
• A safe space to share experiences and understand underlying issues
Qualifications:

Rachael served 15 years in the British Army, leaving the military in 2011, where she transitioned from her IT leadership role in military into the Corporate world. In 2019, Rachael attended a Blossom class and soon realised that it was so much more than just a self-defence class, it was a community of wonderful, inspiring individuals.
It was during the Global pandemic, Rachael made the decision to take some time away from the corporate world and spend quality time with her family and help grow Blossom.
Both Madeleine and Rachael are driven by their own experiences and passion, their desire is not only to teach self-defence but to build confidence, morale and physical courage, educate on well-being and create a diverse support community for its members and followers.
Our founder, Madeleine France began Blossom, a woman only self-defence class after hearing from a number of friends that they had a desire to learn how to defend themselves but didn’t feel comfortable taking part in a martial arts or boxing class, which are generally male orientated and deemed intimidating.
Madeleine acts as the class instructor, but she is also an inspirational leader, role model, counsellor, wellbeing advocate and motivator.
During the 2020/21 National lockdown, Madeleine unfortunately found herself excluded from any government financial support and was unable to provide for her family as always had. It was this and a rare opportunity to form a trusted partnership with a member of her Blossom Class that prompted her decision to expand Blossom and share the positivity, confidence, empowerment found through self-defence to the next level.
If you're interested in sponsoring one of our courses to help your local community, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
